You Matter
When everything is going wrong,
And you are struggling to carry on,
I want you to know you matter.
When you are feeling the hurt and pain,
And try your hardest to stay sane.
I want you to know you matter.
When you feel you’ve no one to care,
And you are falling into despair.
I want you to know you matter.

Reflective Poetry
Dear Younger Self,
You have been through so much,
But yet you have stayed strong.
Picking yourself up,
And carrying on.
For this, I must express,
An abundance of gratitude.
I wouldn’t be where I am today,
Without your determined attitude.
I am a different person,
Different to you now,
This is because of you,
Growing and showing me how.
I am so thankful that you carried on,
And your dreams you worked towards.
As for all your struggles,
I have received glorious rewards.
Love your Older Self

Poetry for a Friend
I am so glad to have a friend like you,
You’re always there whenever I feel blue.
You never fail to brighten the day,
With your loving, happy and positive way.
You always endeavour to make me smile,
That’s why spending time with you is so worthwhile.

My Favourite Place to Be
The beach is my favourite place to be,
All my troubles melt away when I am by the sea.
*
I love to feel the cool sea breeze blow through my hair,
And to walk barefoot along the sand without care.
When I sit and listen to the waves crash into the shore,
I dream of staying here forevermore.
*
The beach is my favourite place to be,
All my troubles melt away when I am by the sea.
*
I love to feel the warm sand between my toes,
And the smell of the salty sea breeze on my nose.
The energy running through me when I am by the sea,
Fills me with happiness and positivity.
*
The beach is my favourite place to be,
All my troubles melt away when I am by the sea.
*
I love the beach at any time of the year,
In summer or winter, I will still be here.
It is the place to go to set my soul free,
The beach is the place that I want to be.
A Mother’s Love
A mother’s love knows no end,
To her child, she will constantly send,
A love like no other,
A love between a child and a mother.
*
Through the highs and the lows
A mother’s love only grows,
She is there when you need her most,
With a big mother’s love dose.
