How to Change your Parents into Superstars is the sixth book from the Louis the Laugh series by award-winning author Pete Johnson. This book is packed with laugh out loud and mischievous humour that kids will enjoy. This is the sixth book in the Louis the Laugh series however kids are able to jump right into this book without having read the previous books in the series.
Louis the main character of the book is an aspiring young comedian on a quest to make it big, this book follows his hilarious misadventures as he makes his bid for superstardom.
The book is written in diary format and is easy for young readers to follow along with. The cover is bright and colourful with fun illustrations. Every chapter throughout the book also has an illustration to add to the laughter of the story which has been illustrated by James Cottell.

Our Review
My girls especially my 10-year-old enjoyed reading this book, I think it was the title ‘How to change your parents into superstars’ that attracted them the most. Not sure if they have succeeded in doing this with us yet but watch this space.
They have enjoyed following Louis on his adventure to stardom and have been laughing along with the story and his mishaps along the way.
The book is written in a diary format making it easy to follow along with and read. Louis, the main character is a lovable guy sharing his story in a funny and honest way that kids can relate to and will enjoy.
At the back of the book, there is also a short quiz called ‘The great how to change your parents into superstars quiz’ for kids to test their knowledge and see if they can remember the details of the story.
We would recommend this book, it is perfect for young readers who will enjoy laughing along to the story.
